What Is Prayer Counseling?
Prayer counseling is a ministry of inner healing based on the Lordship of Jesus Christ, prayer and the application of Biblical principles and truths. Each session begins with a prayerful examination of the fruit in the counselee's life. Bad fruit is then traced to bad roots through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. With prayer and the Holy Spirit's leading, the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Cross are applied to the deep wounds and practices of the heart.

What Are Bad Roots?
Bad roots are judgments, inner vows, unforgiveness, resentment and lies we have adopted into our belief system, usually early in life, as a result of woundings and hurts we have received.

4 Basic Biblical Laws:
Bad roots in a person's life are usually the result of breaking one or more of these 4 basic biblical laws.

•  Honoring father and mother: “Honor your father and mother…that your days may be prolonged and that it may go well with you…” Deut. 5:16

•  Do not judge or you too will be judged: “Do not judge so that you will not be judged…” Mt. 7:1 

•  A person reaps what he sows: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap…” Gal. 6:7 “For they sow the wind and reap the whirlwind…” Hosea 8:7

•  If you judge another, you condemn yourself to practice the same things: “ …you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that you judge another you condemn yourself, for you who judge practice the same things…” Rom. 2:1

What Is a Prayer Minister?
A prayer minister facilitates the prayer counseling session and asks questions of an individual to help that person discover for himself destructive thought and behavior patterns and the roots that cause them. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the application of Biblical principles, we ask Jesus to bring truth to replace lies, bring the person to a place of seeking forgiveness for themselves and forgiving those who've wounded them.

The staff members are not licensed, degreed counselors. They do not diagnose conditions, prescribe medicines or administer therapy. Prayer ministers do not perform the duties of professional licensed counselors, psychologists, or psychiatrists.
