Meet the Team

DIRECTOR
Gretchen Wease
Hello, my name is Gretchen Wease, and I am honored to serve as the Director of Spring of Hope Ministries. My path to this role was unexpected, yet the Lord’s call was unmistakable—and I am deeply grateful to serve this beautiful ministry.
My personal journey has been marked by seasons of woundedness and healing. I have walked through grief, loss of expectations, and pain; these experiences deepened my relationship with Jesus, which I now cherish above all else. Through God’s transforming love, I’ve found true freedom, and it is my joy to help others discover their identity as beloved children of God. I come alive when I am encouraging, training, and equipping—raising up leaders who are empowered to walk confidently and serve others.
Ministry has always been close to my heart. In the mid-2000s, I completed Focus-Issue Ministry training through Restoring the Foundations International. Throughout my life, I’ve been blessed with opportunities to intercede, train, and minister in various settings. My leadership skills were further developed through management roles in Corporate America—positions that taught me confidence, humility, and the importance of servant leadership. The best leaders, I believe, are those who serve others well.
In July 2021, I joined the Spring of Hope Board, serving as Secretary from January 2022 through December 31, 2023. During this period, I also completed Elijah House 201 in 2021 and Elijah House 202 in 2023. Upon stepping into the director role, I felt prompted to revisit my studies at Dove Global Leadership and Ministry School—a journey I had begun in 2010 but paused due to life’s demands. I reapplied after becoming director, and graduating in May 2025 was a profound milestone, allowing me to reflect on all God has healed in my life and ministry.
With over nine years of experience in the Long-Term Care industry, including Marketing, Human Resources, Billing, and Management, I have gleaned strategic insight to support the ministry of Spring of Hope. As a board member and now director, I love implementing initiatives that expand our outreach, deepen community engagement, and foster lasting partnerships to further our mission.
One of my many memorable moments at Spring of Hope was when I facilitated the Elijah House Heart Healing Essentials school. Through practicum, students participate in small group sessions, taking turns as the prayer minister and counselee. It was an honor to witness students guiding and receiving healing through the power of the Holy Spirit and by the blood of the Lamb!
On a personal note, my husband, Gary, and I have been married for 30 years and make our home in Waynesboro, PA. We’re blessed with four adult sons and six amazing grandchildren. I love reading, singing on our church worship team, adventuring with Gary, and making memories with family and friends.

OFFICE MANAGER

Elizabeth serves as the office manager for Spring of Hope. She enjoys assisting others through her organizational skills as well as utilizing her spiritual gifts.
God truly found Elizabeth when she was in her 30’s and as she continues to grow in relationship with the Father, so has her bravery to share her testimony to all. She has accepted that wearing her heart “on her sleeve” only proves her compassionate heart toward others.
Elizabeth has been married for 25 years and together they have two sons and two dogs. She enjoys volunteering at local nonprofit ministries, particularly working with children. She loves painting, photography and enjoys reading and taking walks, especially where she can hear the beautiful sounds of flowing water.
Her favorite bible verse stems from “Luke99” as she calls it, where Jesus left the 99 to find the one. This scripture reference is truly from Luke 15, where Elizabeth has learned, “there’s always room to learn more from the Living Word and that it’s a forever process.”
